Shape - Round, near round, oval, button, drop, semi-baroque, baroque.
Colour - A combination of the pearls dominant bodycolour, overtone and orient.
Lustre - The intensity of light reflected from the pearls surface.
Surface Quality - Blemishes usualy confined to the surface of the pearl.
Nacre Quality - Noted if the nucleus is visible or if the pearl has a dull, chalky appearance.
Matching - The uniformity of appearance in strands and multi-pearl pieces.
